Holy Schnikes!!! This place is absolutely DELICIOUS! I'd driven by here quite a few times and always noticed it to be quite full and finally decided to swing in and give it a shot, and boy oh boy I was not disappointed! Given the name, it has a very firehouse feel to the place, the walls are decorated with fire axes, helmets and suits, makes you feel like you're walking through the hallowed walls of a firehouse. Overall, the place isn't huge, but there is quite a bit of seating inside, a little bar you can sit at, a bunch of tables, or there's a few tables outside if it's nice enough. When I went in it was virtually full, but was able to find a spot at the bar at the end of the sandwich prep area. The subs here look and taste absolutely amazing. Almost all of them have firehouse related names (Hook and Ladder, Firehouse Meatball, New York Steamer, etc...) To date I've eaten two subs, the steak and cheese and firehouse meatball... probably the best subs I've eaten in my life. What I love most about this place is the care they take in making your sub... not like subway or quiznos where they throw everything together haphazardly to get you out of the place... The bread is toasted all by it's lonesome, and while it's getting toasty, your meat is being prepared, either by steaming or cooking... once the meats and veggies are all cooked up, they are strained, then mixed with cheese, diced up, and put on the bread... The bread is crispy on the outside, oh so chewy on the inside, and doesn't become soaked and waterlogged with juices because of the straining. The meats are tender and juicy, the veggies fresh and crispy, the cheese ooey and gooey, and their sauces are amazing. There are a lot of different options for each sub, and I have a feeling I'm going to be eating here about 3-4 times a week to see what I like best. Just beware- if you're stopping in for a sub, it does take a few minutes to prepare, like I said, they take care of you, you won't be in and out in under 2 minutes. But I guarantee you won't have a better sub anywhere else... DELICIOUS! As a last side note, I just want to point out that this place is frequented by a number of both firefighters and police officers. While you're waiting for your sub, stop by a table and thank the men and women who are always working hard to keep us safe and very rarely get the recognition they deserve. Then sit back and enjoy a kick-ass sub with an icy cold Coke.

The better place to go for sandwiches and subs as far as chains are concerned. Limited time sandwich right now is the Sriracha beef, sounds yummy so we'll see! Other staple favorites are great as well, can't go wrong there. Busy for lunch being close to historic area, expect a little but of wait but, the staff is usually on a roll and not an issue.

Yuck and more Yuck if your a group! "Unfortunately, our product was designed to be eaten on site at the store. The steaming process tends to soak into the bred about 15-20 mins after it is made." quoted from an email Chadwick Sorensen, Catering Manager, Firehouse of America, LLC. It was only a small group of 16 person lunch order. We received a visit from the a person in the catering department, wanting us to place orders with Firehouse. So we thought lets give it a try. Well, one sandwich was forgotten, the sandwiches were poorly made, the order was not correct and extremely soggy. So bad, I discarded mine. We were told next time fax in your order, we called in the order and then the manager stated we should fax in the order would be best. I am writing this review to let others know that if you all looking to eat the sandwich onsite you might fair better as the hot sandwiches are not going to fair well on the trip to your office, as I discovered. Our office is located less than 3 mins from the location we ordered from. Just so you understand it is better service for 16 people to walk into a location and place an order because they will get faster service and a maybe a better sandwich. When the order was placed, we were told 45 mins for the order to be complete. If Firehouse knows the hot sandwiches become soggy after 10-20 mins, then why not disclose that before accepting a large order, which includes hot sandwiches and if 16 people were to walk into the location, would it really take the 16th person 45 mins to receive their order?

It's probably more me than the place. I'm just not a big fan of Firehouse Subs. Not big into subs but was starving and closest place near me at the time. I think I got burned out on them when my granddaughter was four. EVERY DAY after I picked her up from VPK that's where she wanted to eat. The food really is good but the lady at the register had no personality.

The beef and cheddar brisket is amazing on wheat.....Great place, friendly staff, just very expensive. You can get out of there without spending 10 bucks for a combo.....But you get what you pay for!!!

Excellent sandwiches, stay away from the Double meat, it takes away the normal flavor. This location is EXTREMELY busy at lunch time with up to 20 minute waits. It is extremely small so be prepared to wait.
